PatternPeople is one of the new collaborators for the Tenth & Grant paper goods line. They recently created this pleasing trio of folding notecards titled Firecracker, Stripes, and Cross Stitch. With its fresh color scheme of orange, pink and warm grey, each card works wonderfully alone or in combination with the others. All are printed on 100% recycled paper using soy-based inks.

PatternPeople created the artwork for the third installment of Pinball’s Designer Card Series. Their paisley pattern features a sophisticated color pattern, and a lovely layered approach to surface design. Tenth & Grant released this same pattern as a folding notecard and pocket notebook just in time for the 2008 National Stationery Show. Don’t forget, you can get yours free with your next Pinball order.

It’s a wrap!
Tenth & Grant has officially ended its time at the 2008 National Stationery Show. It was an incredible and mostly fun learning experience!
The Javits Center (pictured above) was the many-windowed home to Surtex (a surface design show) and the ICFF (international contemporary furniture fair) during the same time as the Stationery show. What a convergence of design. There was such beautiful creativity and craftmanship on display at the stationery show (loop, Night Owl, Spruce Avenue, to name but a few), but honestly, you did have to wade through a bit of uninspired ware to find the gems. Such is the industry. It’s not terribly sad to part ways with the Hannah Montana singing pens and the jillions of smiling dog greeting cards, but we will miss our friends from aisle 1800!
Thank you New York. Onward to Portland!

During the third day, we decided it was time to shake it up. Ashley and I covered the entire floor of the Javits Center and connected with many other exhibitors as Pinball People. It was really great to share the Pinball love with everyone and hear about their show experience. Our booth drew more media interest today as well, which is exciting. Since we’ve been existing indoors at the Javits Center for four solid days, I thought it would be good to walk a bit and take in some of the NYC street typography. Tomorrow is the last day, we’ll keep you posted on the show wrap-up.

Wowee, we’ve just wrapped up the second day of the stationery show! We had the pleasure of seeing our good friend Lisa DeJohn today, and chatting it up with great like-minded people from the paper goods industry. The peeps at Night Owl were sure sweet, and we connected with a number of great new retailers for Tenth & Grant. Stay tuned for more details!

We made it to New York! Saturday was a long day of set-up for the Tenth & Grant booth (#1847), and today the National Stationery Show opened with a bang. A steady stream of retailers, students, industry insiders, and more passed by our cozy display of eco-friendly paper goods. There are over 1,000 exhibitors at this show, and the Javits Center is enormous, but somehow we managed to catch up with some of our favorite friends (Tara Hogan, Emily Quillen, and Jill Bliss) today.
We’ll be doing a daily post, and hope to have reports of more paper magic tomorrow.
