A handsome alphabet really tickles our fancy. That’s why we were awfully pleased to work with local book artist Sarah Horowitz on these beautiful, over-sized (14″ x 20″) posters promoting Alpha Botanica, a bi-lingual alphabet book project. Howoritz designed and engraved colophon blocks for two sets of lush botanical alphabets (ahem, abecedaria), one in Roman and one in Hebrew. The books will be on display as part of the BOOKMARKS: A Celebration of the Art of the Book exhibition at the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Massachusetts.
