Leigh Marble @ Holocene

Written on October 5, 2007

Here at Pinball, we love producing beautiful offset print goods for super talented, creative folks. Sure, it’s our bread and butter, our “9 to 5,” but it’s also our labor of love, and we think it’s time to spread the enthusiasm with some eye candy, a little peek into the locomotion of our bustling print shop. We’ve been putting in a lot of elbow grease at the shop lately, and in an effort to further disseminate our work across the world, we will be posting photos of some of our recent print jobs, hot off the press and into the hands of happy customers.

To start, we just wrapped up a lovely poster for Leigh Marble’s CD Release Show, coming up at Holocene on October 18. Leigh runs a record label called Laughing Stock Records. Here is a shot of our new production assistant Nicholas, sporting a fine print of this 2-color concert poster, printed on 100% post-consumer waste paper using soy-based Pantone inks.

Designed by Dylan McConnell, who also designed the album art.

Here’s what Willamette Week has to say about Leigh:

“His whipsmart lyrics; sharp, punk-influenced acoustic guitar; and blowhard harmonica put Marble at the head of Portland’s singer-songwriter class.”

So go see his show! We’ll be there.
